Stoff, aka Stockholm Fringe Fest, has issued an open call for artists whose work 'challenges and questions conventional artistic forms' to take part in the next edition of the festival (21-24 August 2013).
The festival is divided into two parts – the main Fest and the Pre-Stoff. The Pre-Stoff, in the week before the festival proper and in collaboration with various other cultural events, puts the focus on outdoor stages, installations and street performances that are completely free to the public. Then the main Stoff Fest continues to offer outdoor performances, but adds indoor installation and ticketed work.
There is a registration fee for artists/companies who wish to appear at the main Fest, covering the administration/ticketing/marketing costs, but stage-based artists are offered 70% of total ticket income. The festival is principally focused on programming emerging artists, but will also consider more established companies.
