So & So Circus Theatre: The Hot Dots

Finding the sweet spot in the overlap of acrobalance and lindyhop, The Hot Dots weaves a 1920s dancehall narrative of fame and romance around the set-piece skills of company members Kaveh Rahnama (Frank) and Lauren Hendry (Evie). Wringing the maximum number of in-jokes out of Frank’s status as a juggler, it’s otherwise a fairly serious (though not heavy) piece: a tale of sudden success, performance exhilaration, and broken hearts.
